You are not alone; We are always here!
Have you ever felt loneliness, like no one is there for you?
You are wrong, you've got tons of living beingsπ
Yes, that's true, but you can not see them. So we call them “Microorganisms,” and I prefer to call them my loving microbes. In every place we go, every surface we touch, even on our own skin, and inside our bodies, there are plenty of microbes, making them the most abundant group of organisms on the Earth. In Microbiology, we use the term “Ubiquity” to refer to this nature. Let's discover a bit more about these little lives.
Microbes live in our bodies
Our body is home to a large number of tiny organisms. It has been assumed that our body consists of about 38-39 trillion bacteria, and it's more than the number of human cells we haveπ³
They inhabit our skin, mouth, respiratory tract, gut, and urogenital tract, living with us all the time, while supporting our existence. These microbes protect us against diseases, improve our immunity, and take care of us. Literally, we are their whole world.
Their presence in the environment
Microorganisms are present in every space around us.
Can you believe that we inhale approximately one million microbes a day?
Yes, we areπ
They are there even in our food and water. Not only in
environments like soil, water streams, and rocks, but they can also survive in
extreme environments such as hot water springs, the deep ocean, and deserts. This is because they have some surprising features and functions that maintain the ecosystem's equilibrium.
"Next time, when you feel alone, remember that there are millions of lives with you and around you appreciating your presence."
